About Me
I’m a learning experience designer with over a decade of experience in health education and healthcare administration, specializing in sexual and reproductive health. I’ve worked as a health educator, medical assistant, and clinic manager, training staff and supporting learners in fast-paced, clinical environments in the San Francisco Bay Area. My background in person-centered care inspires my passion for human-centered learning design. It taught me to approach learning experiences with empathy, accessibility, and a focus on the real people engaging with the content.
I earned my professional certification in eLearning Design and Development from San Francisco State University, expanding my work into digital learning and combining my background in education with my interest in visual design. I’m also a certified TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teacher, which strengthens my ability to design for diverse learners and varying levels of language proficiency.
I’m currently based out of Indiana, USA, and Tulum, Mexico. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, snorkeling, and dancing. I’m (very happily) an iced coffee addict with a major sweet tooth.
My Approach
-
I believe learning should feel useful, engaging, and respectful of the learner’s time — not something people end up just “clicking through.” I’m passionate about transforming complex, information-heavy, or sensitive topics into learning experiences that feel clear, approachable, and genuinely helpful.
-
While much of my professional background is in healthcare, I design for a wide range of industries, audiences, and learning contexts. I enjoy learning new subject matter and creating experiences tailored to different learner needs.
-
I begin projects by understanding the learner, context, and performance goals through collaboration, needs assessment, and action mapping. From there, I design experiences that prioritize active participation, practical application, and meaningful interaction rather than passive information delivery.
I value collaboration and iteration throughout the design process, using feedback, stakeholder/learner input, and testing to refine learning experiences and ensure they meet both learner and organizational needs.
